"Premier Level" Soccer is the highest level of competition offered by Calgary Minor Soccer Assn.  Premier-level teams attend team practices at 1-2 times per week, plus academy training sessions  1 time per week during the season.

  • Weekly Team Practices:  The Coach provides training in the following areas:  Technical drills, Strategic planning, Tactical plays, Fitness, Nutrition, Warm-up & Cool-down practice.

  • Play Time:  Coaches base play time on performance level of players.  Factors that influence play time include practice habits and on- and off-field attitude.  Play time at Premier level should not be assumed to be equal, but rather as earned.

  • Academy Technical Training:  This is a comprehensive player development program designed and run by professional trainers.  The objectives are to develop Team, Technical and Tactical skills.

  • Developmental Training Through Play-Up:  The Club encourages play-ups to both higher-tiered teams and older age groups as a developmental venue for premier players.

  • Developmental Training Through Tournament Participation:  The Club encourages (and expects) its Premier teams to participate in a minium of 2 tournaments per season.  For Tier 1 teams, we expect teams to be participating in at least 1 out-of-province top-level tournament per year.
