Club Information

Calgary NorthWest United Soccer Club (NWU) was formed in January 2004. The cooperating community soccer programs of MacEwan, Sandstone, Beddington Heights, Hidden Valley, Huntington Hills, Northern Hills, Hamptons / Edgemont, and Symons Valley have created a Soccer Club to develop athletes to compete in the Premier division of Calgary Minor Soccer Association (CMSA).

NWU serves premier soccer athletes throughout Calgary.  NWU is open to any valid member in good standing with CMSA.

NWU will establish, coordinate, promote, and develop a Premier soccer program starting at U10 to U18 age groups.  NWU is also committed to developing technical and tactical soccer skills at the grassroots level.

Be the club of choice for Premier soccer players in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. 

Mission:

NWU’s dedicated athletes, coaches and parents, in partnership with our member communities and technical trainers will raise the bar of excellence for Premier Soccer in Calgary.  Collectively we strive to improve the level of respect for the game, officials and opponents.

We are dedicated to an ethical approach to all aspects of the game.

NWU is committed to remain open to all premier soccer athletes and will never turn away an athlete for proven financial reasons. (Subject to board approval).

NWU considers the game of soccer to be a continuous learning sport; therefore we are committed to the ongoing training of all participants.

NWU will refrain from making any promises or guarantees regarding the placement of an athlete to a team prior to evaluations.

NWU is committed to operate within the rules set forth by CMSA, ASA, and FIFA.

NWU Coaches will operate within the Coaches Code of Conduct
